This is Hare Lodge. It's at the Copper Penny Inn in Chipshop. They're two first-floor apartments above the pub. You share the property with the other apartment but they're separate.
They each sleep five people. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. The owners run the pub and they're local farmers. They've got a farm shop on site selling their meat and veg. The apartments have a 3 Star rating. They're clean and functional.
The stairs are external, up the side of the building. They're fine, you just need to know. You can park right outside.
The pub is literally underneath you. They serve food. It's a proper village inn. The village is called Chipshop. The name comes from the old miners who were paid in tokens they called chips.
You're on the edge of Tavistock, which is an old market town. The Tamar Trails and an old mining area are about a mile away, good for walks and cycling. You're right by the Tamar Valley, it's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For a National Trust day out, Cotehele is close by on the river.
If you drive for about half an hour you can get to the north coast beaches around Bude, or onto Dartmoor. Plymouth is about the same drive the other way.
Facilities: Wi-Fi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog.
