Dartmoor 3
Dartmoor 3 is a lodge on the Honicombe Manor Park, up near St Ann's Chapel. It's detached, so no one's next door. It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms and has two bathrooms.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, but don't expect anything luxurious. Everything works.
The main thing is you get use of all the park facilities. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gym, tennis courts, and a kids' play area. The lodge itself has its own private hot tub on the deck. The views are over fields and countryside.
There's a restaurant and bar on site in the Manor House. The restaurant does evenings and Sunday roasts. The pub is about 200 yards away. The nearest proper shop is a mile away in the village.
You're right on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park here. It's about a ten minute drive to get up onto the moor. The Tamar Valley is all around, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
For a day at the beach, you're looking at about a 30 minute drive. That gets you to the south Cornwall coast or over into Devon around Plymouth. National Trust Cornwall has good information on the coastal spots.
Facilities in the lodge: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
