Tamar Ten is on the Honicombe site in St Ann's Chapel, up on the Cornwall side of the Tamar Valley. It's a modern apartment on the first floor.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. The rating is 4 Star, so it's a bit nicer than standard, but it's not a show home. The kitchen is well put together with a big island and a wine chiller. The living area is open plan with large sliding doors that go out onto a south-facing balcony. You get a good view out over the valley from up there.
Because you're on the holiday park, you get access to all the Honicombe facilities with your stay. That means indoor and outdoor pools, a games room, a gym, tennis courts, a kids' play area, and there's a bar and restaurant on site. The indoor pool is heated, which is good for the cooler months.
The location is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a quiet part of Cornwall. The riverside village of Calstock is a short drive away. You can get the train from there into Plymouth, which is easier than driving and parking. The National Trust's Cotehele house and gardens are very close by.
For a day out, Tavistock is about 20 minutes drive. Plymouth is about half an hour. The nearest proper beach is at Whitsand Bay, which is around a 40 minute drive.
Facilities in the apartment include a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and parking right outside. All bedding and towels are included. The patio and garden are shared. No pets.
