Seanicview La Val is in St Ann's Chapel, near Callington in Cornwall. It's up a quiet lane. You'll go through an electronic gate to get to it.
It sleeps four, but in three separate bedrooms. Two doubles and a single. That means it's a good option for two friends or a small family who don't want to share a room. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One has a shower, the other has a bath.
The rating says 4 Star, which feels about right. It's not a showhome, it's a decent holiday house.
You're allowed to bring one dog. There's a patio and garden. It gets sun in the afternoon. The washing machine and dishwasher are there. Bedding and towels are provided. Parking is right outside.
To be clear, this isn't a coastal cottage. You're inland here. The sea is about a twenty-five minute drive away. Whitsand Bay or the Rame Head area would be your nearest bit of coast. If you want somewhere iconic, Portwrinkle is about twenty minutes.
The main reason to stay here is access to the Tamar Valley. It's good walking country. The Tamar Valley AONB site has details. Kit Hill is a short drive. The views from the top are worth it. For industrial history, the National Trust's Cotehele estate is fifteen minutes away. Morwellham Quay is similar, with the mining heritage.
There's a pub in St Ann's Chapel, a couple of minutes in the car. Callington has supermarkets and other shops you might need. Plymouth with all its city stuff is a twenty to thirty minute drive, depending on traffic.
You're also about half an hour from the south coast of Cornwall. Places like Looe or Polperro are in range for a day trip. Bodmin Moor is north, also about thirty minutes.
