Elderberry House

Elderberry House is one of the cottages at Sherrill Farm in Dunterton. It's on the Devon and Cornwall border, up a private drive on a farm. The cottage itself sleeps thirteen, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The main thing here, honestly, is the stuff on site. There's a big indoor heated swimming pool, a hot tub, a games room with a bowling alley, and a gym. You can use all of that. There's also a tennis court. It's all set in sixteen acres, with a kids' play area and some fishing ponds.

Inside, it's a converted farm building. It's got the beams and whatnot. The kitchen has what you need. Because it's old, the floors aren't always level and the stairs are a bit steep. Just so you know.

You're about a mile from the nearest pub. A proper shop is in Lifton, about four and a half miles away. Tavistock is six miles for a bigger town and its pannier market.

For days out, you're right between Dartmoor and the Tamar Valley. You can be on the moor in under half an hour. The Cotehele estate and Morwellham Quay are close by too. Both coasts are within an hour's drive, so you can get to beaches if you don't mind the journey.

Facilities: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner, WiFi, TV. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
