Parsley

Parsley is part of Sherrill Farm, near Dunterton. It's basically a group of old barns and a farmhouse that have been turned into cottages. There are thirteen of them around a yard. This one sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. You get your own cottage but you share the grounds and the leisure stuff with the other guests. The grounds are about sixteen acres. There's a big indoor heated pool, a hot tub, a gym, a games room, and even a small bowling alley. They're open until 9pm. Outside there's a kids' play area and a tennis court you can use.

The location is right on the Devon and Cornwall border. It's countryside. There's a pub about a mile away. The nearest proper shop is about four and a half miles, so you'll want to bring supplies or drive to get them.

For things to do, you're very close to the edge of Dartmoor. It's a short drive to get onto the moor for walking. The Tamar Valley is nearby too. Tavistock is about six miles east, it's a market town with shops. If you want to go further, both the north and south coasts of Devon and Cornwall are within an hour's drive for beaches.

In terms of facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding is included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog. Parking is right there.

If you're planning walks or days out, these sites are useful: Dartmoor National Park and National Trust Cornwall.
