Magpie's Rest
Magpie's Rest is in Horrabridge. It's a one-bedroom place for two people, on the first floor above our garage. We live in the house next to it.
It's a 3 Star apartment, so it's clean and comfortable. Don't expect anything flash. It's bright inside and all open plan. There's a decked patio out the back you can use.
The stairs up to it are a bit steep, just so you know. You can park right outside.
You're right on the edge of Dartmoor here. If you like walking or cycling, it's perfect. The Drakes Trail path starts practically at the gate. You can walk to Grenofen Tunnel and Gem Bridge from there. The local pub is about a mile up the road. The nearest shop is in Yelverton, about two miles.
Tavistock is ten minutes one way, Yelverton ten minutes the other. Plymouth is about half an hour's drive if you want to see the city or go to the theatre.
Facilities: all the basics are there. Wifi, TV, bedding and towels. It's all included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. We've made it nice for Christmas stays too.
