This one's called Magpie's Rest. It's in Horrabridge, about ten minutes from Tavistock. It's right on the edge of Dartmoor.
It's for two people, one room. A studio apartment. Everything is on the first floor, above my workshop next to the main house. You get your own door and stairs at the side, so it's private. The stairs are normal stairs, not a ladder.
The inside is one big room. Bed's at one end, sofas and kitchen at the other. It's bright. The bathroom is separate, through one door. There's a decked patio out the back with a table, gets the sun in the evening.
It's got a Three Star rating, which is about right. It's clean and everything works. You get WiFi, a TV, and parking.
You can bring one dog. There's a pub down the road, about a 20 minute walk. For a shop or a restaurant, you'd drive into Tavistock.
The big thing here is the location for walking. The Drakes Trail path starts practically outside. You can walk to Plymouth from here if you want. Gem Bridge and Grenofen Tunnel are close by and worth seeing. You're on Dartmoor in a few minutes.
Tavistock is five minutes by car. Plymouth's about a 20 minute drive. If you fancy the coast, places like Bovisand or Whitsand Bay are maybe half an hour.
