The Cowshed
The Cowshed was a farm building. It's on our land near Liskeard in Cornwall. It's now a holiday place for four. Two bedrooms, each with its own shower room. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed. The second sleeping space is a curtained-off area in the main room, with two singles that can be joined.
It's in a two-acre field. You have your own garden bit with a deck, furniture, a gas barbecue, and a hot tub. There's parking by the main gate. You then cross the field to get to the cottage. It's not far, but bring shoes that can get muddy. We've left a trolley there for your bags.
Inside, it's open plan. The ceiling is high because it used to be a barn. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-finished.
It's a good spot for getting to the coast. Looe and Polperro are about a 20-minute drive south. Plymouth is roughly 40 minutes away. Dartmoor is about half an hour north. Liskeard town has shops and a train station. The train line from Liskeard to Plymouth goes along the Tamar Valley, which is a nice ride.
For wider planning, the National Trust and Visit Cornwall sites are useful. The Dartmoor National Park site has walking information.
Facilities include WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
