Trecarne Cottage
Trecarne Cottage is in St Cleer. That's a small village just on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It's semi-detached, one of a row. You can see the moor from the front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean without any fuss. There are two living rooms, which is useful if you've got kids or someone wants a bit of quiet. One of them has a multi-fuel burner. We leave some wood for you to start with.
Out the back there's a small, enclosed patio garden with a table. You can also sit out the front.
The village has a shop and a pub, both about a ten minute walk. The pub does food. For a bigger shop, Liskeard is a few minutes in the car.
You can walk straight onto Bodmin Moor from here. The National Trust has a lot of information about walks and the old mining history. The famous Cheesewring and the Hurlers stone circles are up there.
Within half an hour you can drive to the Eden Project. Lanhydrock House is about twenty minutes away. The coast at Looe or Polperro is about twenty five minutes. Plymouth is around forty minutes.
The facilities are what you'd expect. TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car on the driveway.
