Trecarne Cottage
Trecarne Cottage is in St Cleer. It’s a semi-detached cottage right on the edge of Bodmin Moor. You’ve got a bit of garden front and back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It’s a 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean. The stairs are narrow and steep. I’ve flagged that on the listing. Something to be aware of if you’ve got anyone unsteady on their feet.
There’s a pub and a village shop about half a mile walk. St Cleer is a proper old mining village. The moor is right there from the door if you want to walk. You can get up to the tors easily.
Liskeard’s about a ten minute drive for bigger shops. The coast is about half an hour. Looe and Polperro are that way, Fowey is the other direction. Plymouth’s also within half an hour if you need a city.
The Eden Project is roughly 25 minutes by car. Lanhydrock House, which is National Trust, is about the same. Good for a wet day.
What’s here: There’s a woodburner, which is nice in the cooler months. TV, parking, a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
