The Old Classroom
The Old Classroom is in St Neot, down a little lane in the middle of the village. It was the village school a long time ago. We live next door in the other part of the building, but you have your own front door and it's all separate. The views from the front are really good, over the church and the fields.
It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside so it's comfortable, but it's not huge. The kitchen doors open onto a small decked balcony. You can see the pub from there.
The stairs up to the main bedroom are a bit steeper than a normal house. Just so you know. There's a wood burner in the living room. It gets going nicely.
The village shop and the pub are about a two minute walk. The pub does food. You're right on the edge of Bodmin Moor here, so you can walk straight out from the door. Bodmin Moor is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's quiet up there.
You're quite central for Cornwall. The north coast, like Padstow, is about 40 minutes by car. The south coast, around Fowey, is maybe half an hour. Siblyback Lake is close by if you want to try watersports. There's also Colliford Lake nearby.
For the facilities: it has the things you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car right outside. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
