The Tallet Warleggan

The Tallet is one of three cottages on our farm, Mennabroom. We're on Bodmin Moor, just outside the village of Warleggan. It's very quiet here. You're down a private drive, so there's no through traffic.

The cottage sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not showy. It's a converted stone building, so the walls are thick and the doors are a bit low in places. You'll know if you're tall.

You have your own patio with a table and chairs. There's also about 15 acres of land here that all guests can use. There's a river, some woods, and a big shared grass area. There are two ponds near the drive. They're unfenced, so something to be aware of if you have young children or dogs.

The facilities are what you'd expect: wood burner, TV, wifi, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.

For supplies, the nearest shop and pub are about three miles away in the village. The pub does food. There's a restaurant a bit closer, about two miles.

Location wise, you're on the edge of Bodmin Moor for walking. The Lanhydrock House estate is a short drive away, maybe 20 minutes. The Eden Project is about half an hour's drive. For a day at the coast, Fowey is to the south and Padstow is to the north. Both are roughly 30 minutes by car.

If you like cycling, Cardinham Woods is good for mountain bikes, and the flat Camel Trail starts in Bodmin. There's trout fishing available on a big lake less than a mile from here.

The other two cottages, The Shippon and The Byre, are right next door. They can be booked together if you're a larger group.
