Dozmary View is an annex attached to our farmhouse up on Bodmin Moor. It's for two people. You come up a long farm track to get here, so it feels properly isolated. The main house is next door but you've got your own space.
It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. One bedroom with an en-suite shower, and an open-plan living area. There's a conservatory on the front. The view from there is the main thing, really. It looks right out across the moors and the top of the Fowey Valley.
Inside, it's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a dishwasher, TV, and parking right outside. The kitchen's fine for cooking. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
You're right on the moor. Dozmary Pool and Colliford Lake are a short walk away. There's an eight and a half mile path around the lake if you want a long walk. The Jamaica Inn is about a mile down the road if you need a pub or a meal.
It's a good base for getting out. The north coast with places like Boscastle and Tintagel is about half an hour's drive. Polzeath and other surfing beaches are a similar distance. In Bodmin, about twenty minutes away, you've got the Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway. The Eden Project is roughly forty minutes.
