Dozmary View is in Bolventor, right on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It's an annex attached to our farmhouse, up a long track from the road. You'll see fields and moorland out of every window. It's very quiet out here. You might hear sheep.
The place is for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything is on the ground floor. The bedroom is through a door from the main living space. The shower is in the en-suite.
There's a conservatory on the front. That's the best spot. You can sit there and look out over the valley. It's peaceful.
Jamaica Inn is about a mile down the road. You can walk there for a drink or a meal. Dozmary Pool and Colliford Lake are a few minutes' drive. You can walk right around Colliford Lake, it's about eight and a half miles. They do trout fishing there, and you can get permits from the Inn.
If you want the coast, it's about half an hour in the car. Boscastle harbour is worth seeing. The surfing beaches like Polzeath and Widemouth Bay are in that direction too. Padstow is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
For a day out, the National Trust's Lanhydrock house and estate is good. The Bodmin & Wenford Railway is a steam train that runs through the countryside. The Eden Project is just over half an hour away.
It says it's a working farm on the list. We have sheep. You might see us moving them or feeding them. We're next door if you need anything, but otherwise we'll leave you alone.
You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed, but it's not massive. There's a dishwasher, a TV, and parking right outside. All the bedding and towels are provided.
