The Byre
The Byre is a converted stone outbuilding on our farm in Warleggan, on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. There's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You come up a private drive, past our house. The front door has a few steps, but there's a back door with just one step if that's easier. It's open-plan inside, with a woodburning stove. There's a patio area with a table and chairs just outside your door.
The farm is about 15 acres. You're welcome to walk around it. There are paths through the woods and along the river. There are two ponds near the drive, so you need to be careful if you have dogs or children with you.
The location is quiet. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You're right on the moor for walks. The nearest shop and pub are about three miles away in the village.
For days out, the Lanhydrock estate is a 20 minute drive. The Eden Project Facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking right outside. Useful links for the area: Bodmin Moor access and National Trust Cornwall.
