Ricann

Ricann is in Trecangate, down a long private drive past some proper big trees. It's part of a small group of cottages on a farm. It's detached, and the garden is enclosed so it's just for you.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. It's all on one level, which is good if you don't want stairs. There's a ramp at the front door.

The place is clean and warm. You've got a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding is included and we can provide a cot and highchair.

Being on a farm is the main thing. There are goats, chickens, sheep, and others. They get fed every day and you can watch. There's a play area for kids, a tennis court, and an indoor games room inside an old barn on site.

The farm is quiet. You get views over the fields. Sometimes you'll see deer or buzzards.

There's a shop about two miles away. The closest pub with food is two and a half miles.

For days out, Talland Bay is about five miles drive. It's a nice beach with rock pools and the coastal path runs by it. Looe is a bit further. They've got a sandy beach and you can get boat trips out to Looe Island. Porfell Animal Land is a short walk from the cottage, if the kids want to see more animals.

Further afield, you can drive to Fowey, which is a lovely old fishing town with good shops and places to eat. The Eden Project is about a half hour drive and is well worth a visit. For a long walk or cycle, the Camel Trail from Bodmin to Padstow is good.
