The Old Stable is down a long farm track off the road to Looe. It's a conversion, as the name says. It sleeps two, so it's a one bedroom place. It's got a 4 Star rating, which feels about right. It's clean and well looked after, not a show home.
You get a patio area with a table and chairs. It's a sun trap if the weather's with you. The garden beyond that is shared with the other cottages here. There's a kids' play area out there too.
Inside, it's all on one level. The front door is wide enough for a wheelchair, and there's no step. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, not a bath. Everything's included, bedding, towels, that sort of thing. There's a washing machine and WiFi. You can bring two dogs.
For getting about, it's quiet. The shop is a good twenty-minute walk, so you'll likely drive. The closest pub for food is about a mile away in Herodsfoot. The beach at Talland Bay is about a fifteen-minute drive. Looe is ten minutes by car. Polperro is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes.
If you want a day out, the Eden Project is half an hour away. So is the Lanhydrock estate. For walks, the South West Coast Path is accessible from several points along the coast.
