Mount Pleasant House is in Looe. It's right in the town, looking down over the river, so the views are good. It's about a five minute walk to the harbour.
It's a town house, so it's tall and on three floors. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it sleeps eight. The stairs are quite steep in places, which is normal for these old houses. The kitchen has a big dining table.
Out the back is a small courtyard. It's not a garden, more a paved spot to sit outside.
The house has a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's wifi, a TV, a dishwasher and a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
Looe itself is handy. You've got the beach at East Looe, which is sandy and close by. The town has the usual shops, pubs and fish restaurants. Walking along to Hannafore Point gives you a good view of Looe Island.
A short drive east is Polperro. It's a classic Cornish fishing village, very pretty. Worth a wander.
For a day out, the Eden Project is about half an hour's drive away. It's quite something. You can also get the Looe Valley Line train up to Liskeard, which is a nice trip through the valley.
You're on the coast path here, so walking is easy. Further along, you've got places like Polperro, Polruan and Fowey all within a thirty minute drive.
