This is Mount Pleasant House in Looe. It's a town house on a hill. You get a good view of the river and the harbour from the front windows.
It sleeps up to eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a proper old house, so the stairs are a bit uneven and the floors can be sloping in places. The kitchen has the original old range in it, but it's not for cooking on, it's just a feature. You use the modern electric oven.
There's a small courtyard garden out the back. It gets the sun in the morning.
The town centre is a few minutes' walk downhill. All the narrow lanes are full of shops and pubs. The main beach, East Looe Beach, is about a ten minute walk. The harbour is closer. You can see Looe Island from the front. It's good for a walk along the coast path to Hannafore Point to look at the view.
Polperro is a short drive east. It's a very pretty fishing village. Further along the coast, you've got Fowey and Polruan which are worth a trip.
If you want a day out, The Eden Project is about a 40 minute drive. You can also get the Looe Valley Line train to Liskeard. It's a nice scenic route.
The house has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's no dedicated parking, but you can usually find a space on the street nearby. Sorry, no pets.
