Byre is a converted stone barn on our land. It used to be where we kept the animals. It's for two people.
The main thing is the location. The South West Coastal Path runs right past the entrance. You can walk to Millendreath beach in about five minutes. It's a quiet little cove. There's a licensed café there on the sand. Looe itself is a walk along the coast path, or a short drive.
The cottage itself has a 4 Star rating. It's one room really, with a separate bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor. It's open plan, so the living area, kitchen and bed are all together. It's simple and clean. The walls are thick stone so it stays cool in summer.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a small, enclosed patio area just for this cottage. We have a kids' play area on the grounds if that's useful for visiting family.
For facilities, there's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You get one allocated parking space, but we have room for a couple more cars if needed.
A local pub is about a mile away, and there's a restaurant a few hundred yards down the lane.
If you want to explore a bit further, the Monkey Sanctuary is very close. Looe has the fish market and boat trips. You can drive to Polperro, which is a proper old fishing village. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within about half an hour. For a city day, Plymouth is under an hour's drive.
