This is the Granary in Looe. It's a converted barn on our land, but it feels separate. It's about 150 yards from Millendreath Beach, which is a small cove with a cafe right on the sand. You can get to the South West Coastal Path from the gate.
It sleeps five people in two bedrooms. One has a double bed and the other has bunk beds with a single on top. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a solid, clean place.
The living room is downstairs and the bedrooms are up a flight of stairs. They're standard stairs, but they are a bit steep and turn a corner. Just something to be aware of.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside. It's got a woodburner, Wi-Fi, and the bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a travel cot if you need them.
For shops and a main pub, you'd drive into Looe, which is about two and a half miles away. The beach bar at Seaton, about a mile down the coast, is good for a drink. Looe itself is a proper fishing town with a harbour and fish markets. You can get boat trips from there.
Within half an hour you can get to a few big things. The Monkey Sanctuary is very close. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about a 25 minute drive. Polperro is a short drive west, and Fowey is a bit further.
If you're planning trips, the National Trust and the South West Coast Path sites are useful. National Trust Cornwall. South West Coast Path.
