Watersmeet

Watersmeet is an apartment in Looe. It's on the second floor, attached to our house, but you get your own separate access. It looks out over the point where the two Looe rivers meet, so the view from the terrace is pretty good, just straight out over the water.

It's a 4-star place, so it's well kitted out. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and there's one bathroom. The main living area is all open plan. You get a terrace that's just for you, and it's quite private. There's parking on site.

The flat is all on one level inside, but you should know it's up two flights of external stairs to get to the front door. Something to bear in mind if you're bringing a lot of luggage, or if anyone has trouble with stairs.

A pub and a restaurant are literally about twenty yards away. The shop is a five-minute walk, and the beach and harbour are about ten or fifteen minutes on foot down the lane. The train station is very close, just up the road, so you really don't need a car if you don't want one.

Looe itself is a proper working fishing town. You can watch the day boats come in and buy fish right off the quay. The beach is sandy and the coastal path starts nearby if you want a walk. You can get boat trips or go fishing from the harbour.

If you drive, Polperro is a few minutes along the coast. It's that classic Cornish fishing village you see in pictures. The Eden Project is about a 40-minute drive. So are the Trelissick Garden and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Plymouth, with the National Marine Aquarium, is half an hour east.

Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's also storage if you bring bikes. No pets, I'm afraid.
