Lavender Hill House
Lavender Hill House is on the edge of Downderry village, on the south coast of Cornwall. It's a detached house.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, which helps with a group that size. The rating is 5 Star, which generally means it's well-finished and has good amenities.
The main living area is open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The terrace looks out towards Whitsand Bay. You get a view of the sea from there and from the main bedroom.
Downderry has a beach, which is shingle mostly. You can walk down to it. There's a local pub in the village. For a sandy beach, you'd drive to Whitsand Bay or Looe. Both are within about a 20 minute drive.
The house is about a 30 minute drive from Plymouth if you need a city or the ferry to Brittany. The Rame Head peninsula is nearby for coastal walks. Bodmin Moor and the Eden Project are both within roughly half an hour by car.
Facilities include parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. The garden is enclosed. We can take up to two dogs. A cot and highchair are there if you need them.
