Little Watch House is in Seaton, Cornwall. It's on the coast between Looe and Plymouth. You get a 180-degree sea view from Looe Island to Rame Head. Honestly, that's the main thing about the place. You just spend a lot of time looking at the water.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star property. The layout is open and bright with big windows and long balconies to make the most of the view. The garden is south-facing, a real sun trap, but it has little sheltered bits too for when it's breezy.
The facilities are all there: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you're bringing little ones. No pets, sorry.
Seaton itself is a quiet village. The nearest beach is about a ten minute walk. The coastline here is beautiful and often less crowded than other parts of Cornwall. The surf can be surprisingly good.
Looe is a ten-minute drive. It's a proper working fishing port, split by the river. You can get boat trips out to Looe Island in the summer. For a change, Plymouth is about twenty minutes away. The National Marine Aquarium is there, and the Barbican is good for a wander.
Within half an hour you've got the pretty harbour at Polperro, the trails at Golitha Falls on Bodmin Moor, and the Eden Project. The South West Coast Path runs right past if you want to walk.
