Linhay

This is Linhay. It's out near Looe, up a quiet lane off the main road. The place itself is a converted stone barn, one of a few on our farm. It's got a bit of a slope to the land, so you get a decent view over the valley from the front garden. It's our bit of land, but the garden and the parking space next to it are all yours.

Inside, it's for three people. One bedroom upstairs, which has a double and a single bed. One bathroom upstairs too. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept. The stairs are the original ones from the barn, so they're proper steep, like a ladder almost. You need to watch your step.

The big thing here is the coast path. The South West Coast Path is literally at the bottom of the track, less than a five minute walk. You follow that path east for a few minutes and you're at Millendreath beach. It's a small beach with a cafe that does food. West, you can walk into Looe itself along the path, which takes about 45 minutes.

Looe is the main town. It's a proper working fishing harbour, so you can buy fish off the boats. There's a sandy beach, shops, and a lot of places to eat. The walk in is nice, but it's a steep hill coming back, so most people drive. It's about two miles by car.

The Monkey Sanctuary is in Looe, and the Adrenalin Quarry is a short drive away if that's your sort of thing. Further afield, The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both about a 40 minute drive. Fowey and Polperro are close too, both good for a visit.

As for the place itself, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. The bedding is included. There's a patio with furniture and a bit of a lawn. Parking is right next to the cottage. We allow two well-behaved dogs. There's a kids' play area shared between the barns.
