Tides Reach
Tides Reach is in Fowey, right on the edge of the estuary. It's one of a row of houses joined together. The view is the main thing. You look straight out over the river mouth to the sea and Polruan on the other side.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both ensuite, so two bathrooms total. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely and is kept very clean.
The terrace is up a flight of steps from the living area. You get a proper panoramic view from up there. Downstairs, the porch is a glassed-in room with chairs, looking out. It's a good spot if someone wants to read or get a bit of quiet.
The South West Coast Path runs right past the front of the house. There's a small sandy beach and a paddling pool just along the road.
Fowey itself is about a five minute walk. There are shops, pubs, cafes, that sort of thing. The pub closest to the house is 250 yards away. The town has a literary festival in May and a regatta in August.
For bigger days out, the Eden Project is about a 20 minute drive. You can also get to places like Looe, Polperro, and Charlestown within half an hour. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
What's here: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, parking for one car. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
