The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is on the Lanwithan Estate, just outside Lostwithiel. It's detached. You'll share the main garden and grounds with a few other cottages, but it's a big space so it never feels crowded. The owners live in the manor house on site.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The kitchen is a good size, and there's a separate dining room. The living room has an open fire. We leave wood for you.
The grounds are the main thing here. There are big old trees, lots of space for kids to run about, and you can walk down to the River Fowey. It's very quiet.
Lostwithiel is a five minute drive, or a 20 minute walk. It's a small town with some interesting antique shops. There's a pub about half a mile up the road. The closest shop is about a mile.
The coast is about 15 minutes away by car. Fowey is lovely, and Polkerris has a good beach. The National Trust has a lot of coastal spots nearby like Lanhydrock, which is just up the road. The Eden Project is about a 25 minute drive.
For facilities, it's got pretty much everything: wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring one dog. We've also got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
You can book it together with Granny's Cottage next door if you've got a bigger group.
