Roadstead is in Fowey, right on the Esplanade. It's a modern house, not an old cottage. The main thing is the view. It looks straight out over the river Fowey, towards Polruan and the sea. You can see it from every room.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well kept.
The living room is long, with windows at both ends. Downstairs, there are French doors that open onto a big sun terrace. That's where you'll end up sitting. You watch the boats go up and down. It's quiet.
The town centre, harbour, shops and cafes are a few minutes' walk one way. Readymoney Cove, which is a sandy beach, is about a ten or fifteen minute walk the other way.
Fowey has things on through the year. There's a Literary Festival in May and the Sailing Regatta in August. There's a Christmas market late in the year too.
If you drive, the Eden Project is about fifteen minutes away. The National Trust has a few places nearby like Lanhydrock. You can get the ferry over to Polruan from the town quay, or further upriver to Bodinnick.
Facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden and patio are yours. There's a local pub and a golf course. Coastal path access is easy. Sorry, no pets.
