The Light House is in Fowey. It's a modern house built to look a bit like an old fisherman's cottage. It's on the main road into town, so you get a clear view over the harbour from the front.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's a kingsize with its own bathroom upstairs, and a twin and a single room on the first floor with the main bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You have a private garden round the back. It's enclosed, so it's fine for a dog. There's also a parking space on site, which is genuinely useful in Fowey.
Inside, it's open plan on the ground floor, with the kitchen and a dining area. The main sitting room is on the first floor to make the most of the view. There's a TV in both living areas.
The town is about a five minute walk down the hill. There are shops, pubs, and places to eat. The beach at Readymoney Cove is about a 20 minute walk.
For walks, you can start right from the door. The Hall Walk is a good one that follows the estuary. If you want to explore further, the Eden Project is about 20 minutes by car, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about half an hour away. You can get boat trips from the town quay.
In terms of facilities, it has pretty much everything: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. It's listed as having a wheelchair accessible entrance, but the main living space is up a flight of stairs, so it's best to check the specifics if that's important for your group.
