The Light House
The Light House is in Fowey, up the hill from the town. It's not a real lighthouse, it's just the name. You’ve got private parking, which is a big help round here.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The garden is enclosed, which is useful if you bring a dog.
The layout is a bit different. The main living room with the best harbour views is on the first floor. The kitchen and dining area are on the ground floor. The stairs are fine, just standard.
The town is a proper Cornish harbour. The bus stops right outside if you need it, but you can walk down to the shops, pubs, and the quay in a few minutes. It's less than a mile to the beach.
For a good walk, the Hall Walk along the estuary is lovely. You can start from the door. The National Trust has a lot of places nearby like Lanhydrock. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within half an hour's drive.
Facilities: It has WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the rest of the house has stairs. You can bring one dog.
