The Oaks

The Oaks is one of a group of cottages on Trecan Farm, near Trecangate. You turn off the main road onto a long private drive to get here. It's detached and quiet, with views over the fields.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy. We've got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.

The place is yours, with a patio and garden. Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, plus the basics like a TV, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.

On the farm itself, there's a games room and a tennis court. They feed the farm animals every day, which kids usually like. There's also a play area. A short walk down the lane brings you to Porfell Animal Land.

The coast is about five miles away. Talland Bay is a good spot, with a nice coastal path. Looe has a sandy beach and boat trips. For a bigger day out, Fowey is a lovely harbour town with shops and cafes. It's about a 30-minute drive.

Further afield, within roughly half an hour, you've got the Eden Project and the cycle trails at Lanhydrock. The beaches on the north coast, like Polzeath, or towns like Padstow, are a bit further but still doable for a day trip.

There's a shop two miles away, and a pub about two and a half miles. You'll likely drive to most places.
