Carnethic House is on the edge of Fowey. It's a big old house split into apartments. This one is called One Acre View, and it's on the first floor. You've got your own front door.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable.
The main thing is the balcony. It's big, off the living room, and looks over the gardens. You can sit out there easily. The gardens are shared and they're nice to wander around. There's also a shared indoor pool in the house, with a roof that opens.
It's about a fifteen minute walk down into Fowey itself. Steep walk back. The town is right on the water, with lanes, shops, and places to eat. The beach at Readymoney Cove is a short walk from the house, the other way.
If you like walking, you can start right from the door. The Hall Walk around the estuary is good. For boat trips or the ferry over to Polruan, you go down to the town quay.
In terms of things to do nearby, the National Trust has several places close by, like Lanhydrock. The Eden Project is about twenty minutes' drive. So is The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Charlestown, with the tall ships, is about fifteen minutes away.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Sorry, no pets.
