Carnethic House - One Acre View
Carnethic House is a big Victorian place up on the hill. This apartment, One Acre View, is on the first floor. It's one of several in the house.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both have their own bathroom, which is handy. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. The main thing is the balcony. It's a proper size, off the living room. You can sit out there with a drink and look over the gardens. They're mature, with lots of shrubs and trees.
There's a shared indoor swimming pool in the grounds. It's heated and has a roof that opens in good weather. You book slots to use it.
You're about a 15 minute walk down into Fowey itself. It's a steep hill back up, so be ready for that. The town is proper old Cornish harbour. Narrow lanes, pubs, little shops. The water's right there. For a small beach, Readymoney Cove is a short walk from the town centre.
Good walking from the door. The Hall Walk around the estuary is popular for a reason. The South West Coast Path is right there too. You can get the ferry across to Polruan or over to Mevagissey.
If you're driving, the National Trust has loads of properties nearby like Lanhydrock. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are within half an hour. Newquay for surfing is about 40 minutes.
Facilities: it's got the things you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Parking is on site. There's a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
