This is Coopers Rest. It's one of a row of cottages in Charlestown. It's a modern place, done up well. Sleeps nine, which is handy for a big group or a few families sharing. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms.
The main thing is the location. It's a three minute walk down to the harbour. You can see the tall ships from there. The beach is pebbly, good for skimming stones. The village is busy, but in a nice way. There are a few pubs and restaurants right there. In summer, there are often food stalls on the quay. It's a UNESCO site, so it all looks like it's from a few hundred years ago. They film things here a lot, like Poldark.
The house itself has a big kitchen with a table. It's good for everyone to sit together. The living room is a decent size. There's a little patio out the back with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the morning. You can hear the seagulls, which I like. There's an outside laundry room with a washer and dryer, which is useful with all those people and beach towels.
You can park two cars right outside, which is a relief in Charlestown.
The stairs are fine. There's a stairgate at the top if you've got little ones. We provide a cot and a highchair too.
Things to do: you're right on the coast path for walking. The Eden Project is about ten minutes drive inland. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about the same distance. If you want a different harbour, St Mawes is across the estuary, maybe twenty five minutes drive.
