The Old Wash House
The Old Wash House is on our farm. It's a converted barn in a quiet courtyard. It's a detached place, so it's just you. Sleeps two. There's one bedroom upstairs and a bathroom.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's underfloor heating, but we put a wood burner in because it's nice to have a fire. The ceilings are high, so it feels quite spacious inside.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see the tractors going past sometimes. We're about a mile and a half from the nearest shop and pub. For more, Mevagissey is four miles away. It's a proper old harbour. Gets busy in summer.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about ten minutes by car. The Eden Project is maybe twenty minutes. A good beach is at Pentewan, about three miles. Truro is roughly ten miles if you need a big supermarket or the cathedral.
Facilities: it's all on one level except the bedroom, so the entrance and main living space are wheelchair accessible. There's a patio with a table and a barbecue. Parking is right outside. We've included all bedding and towels. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi works fine. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
