Windmills

Windmills is our cottage near Mevagissey. It's detached and set back from the road, so it's quiet. You get good views of the harbour from the upstairs windows and the hot tub area.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. They all have their own bathrooms, which is handy. Everything's on one level upstairs.

The main living space is open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler nights. The kitchen has everything you'd need, plus a utility room with a washing machine.

Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs. The hot tub is up on a raised deck. It fits eight and has those harbour views. There's also an old railway carriage in the garden. It's been done up with lights and power sockets. The kids seem to like it.

You're about two miles from the beach at Mevagissey. It's a proper working fishing harbour, so you can watch the boats come and go. There are a few pubs and places to eat. You can get a ferry from there over to Fowey, which is a nice trip.

If you're driving, the Eden Project is about twenty minutes away. So is the Wheal Martyn china clay museum. St Austell is close for bigger shops.

For walks, the South West Coast Path runs right past Mevagissey. The National Trust has a lot of properties nearby, like Lanhydrock.

Facilities wise: it's got parking, WiFi, a TV, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's a stairgate and highchair if you need them.
