The Wool Shed is a shepherds hut on our land, up in a meadow. It's for two people. You can see a bit of the sea from the deck. It feels quite private up there.
It's got a woodburner for heat, which works well. The layout is open plan. There's a shower and toilet, and bedding and towels are included. You can park right next to it. It's more glamping than a solid house, but it's dry and warm. We allow one dog.
You're about a mile and a half from some good beaches like Caerhays and Gorran Haven. Mevagissey is the closest proper village. It's a fishing port. You can wander around the harbour, get some fish and chips, or book a boat trip. The pub and shop in Trevarrick are half a mile down the lane.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are very close, maybe a five minute drive. They're worth a visit. If you want to cycle, you can hire bikes at Pentewan and use the trail towards St Austell. That trail also goes to the Eden Project, which is about a 30 minute drive from here. It's a big day out.
For a longer trip, you can drive over to the north coast in about 45 minutes. That's where you find Newquay and Padstow. Or you can go south to the Roseland Peninsula. St Mawes is nice, and you can get the ferry over to Falmouth from there.
