Memory Cottage is in Mevagissey, right in the middle of it all. It's about fifty yards from the harbour wall. You can see the fishing boats from the front.
The cottage itself sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not modern-luxury. It's an old net loft, so the rooms are upstairs and the space is cosy. The staircase is narrow and a bit steep, like most of these old cottages.
Mevagissey itself is a proper working harbour. It's busy. The streets are narrow and winding. You've got pubs, a few shops, and places to eat all within a couple of minutes' walk. The noise from the seagulls is something else.
From here, you can just walk out and join the South West Coast Path. The beaches around Gorran Haven and Pentewan are good, about a ten-minute drive. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are very close, maybe five minutes by car. Charlestown, with the tall ships, is about fifteen minutes away.
The Eden Project is inland, roughly a twenty-minute drive. It's worth booking in advance for that.
For facilities at the cottage, everything's included: electricity, bedding, towels. There's a TV and a shower. There's no garden, but you're right on the harbour. No pets, sorry.
