Prideaux Farmhouse is on the estate here in St Blazey, near Par in Cornwall. It's part of a group with a cottage and a separate single-storey building called the Wagon House. You can rent them together or separately. The farmhouse itself sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
It's got a 5 Star and a Gold Award, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's a luxury property. It's all on the ground floor, so it's wheelchair accessible. There's a pretty enclosed garden with a patio and a barbecue. Inside, there's a woodburning stove, Wi-Fi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, and parking.
You can bring one dog. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The location is the main thing. You're at the top of the Luxulyan Valley. The views from the garden are over the woods and the valley. It's very quiet. You can walk straight from the door into the valley. It's known for some lovely walks, like the Saints' Way footpath. The National Trust Cornwall page has good ideas for other walks and days out.
Fowey is about five miles away. It's a proper little harbour town with pubs, restaurants, and shops. You can get boat trips from there. The Eden Project is very close, maybe a ten minute drive. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about twenty minutes away.
The south coast beaches and fishing villages like Mevagissey are within half an hour. For a bigger day out, Padstow, Truro, or St Ives are all about forty-five minutes to an hour's drive. There's a shop in about a mile and a pub in one and a half miles.
