Pencarrow
Pencarrow is in Polruan. It's a cottage on the hillside looking out over the harbour. The view is the main thing. You can see right across to Fowey.
It sleeps six. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. The house is split over two floors. Upstairs is the living area, one kingsize bedroom, and a bathroom. Downstairs has the other three bedrooms and the second bathroom. The stairs are quite steep. There's a stairgate at the top.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The deck outside gets the sun. The garden is down a path from the house. Parking is on site for one car.
Polruan itself is small. Cobbled streets, a couple of pubs, a shop. You get the passenger ferry over to Fowey from the quay. That takes about five minutes. Fowey has more shops and places to eat.
If you walk, the South West Coast Path goes straight from the village. One way takes you towards Lantivet Bay. The other way goes around to Readymoney Cove. The walking is good, but it's hilly. That's Cornwall.
You can bring two dogs. The garden isn't fully enclosed, just so you know. Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.
For days out, the National Trust and Visit Cornwall sites are useful. The Eden Project is about 25 minutes by car. Charlestown, with the old ships, is maybe 20 minutes. For a swim, Lantic Bay is a steep walk down from the coast path, or you can drive to nearby beaches like Polkerris.
