Waggoners Cottage

Waggoners Cottage is here at Polean Farm, just outside Pelynt in Cornwall. It's a single-storey place, so everything's on one level. You get your own garden out the front, which looks over the fields. The back garden is next to the children's play area.

It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a four star rating. It's been done up nicely from an old barn where they used to keep wagons, so you can still see some of the original features.

It's a working farm. There's animal feeding on weekday mornings if you want to help feed the lambs and goats. The horses from the livery yard are about too. If you want to use a swimming pool, there's an indoor heated one a few minutes' drive away. It's free but they can get busy, so they can't always guarantee a slot. There's entertainment there on most evenings too.

For beaches, you're about two miles from the coast. Talland Bay is a favourite of ours, and Polperro is just along from there. Looe is about three miles the other way.

You've got a shop and a pub in Pelynt village, about a mile away. The pub does food. For a bigger shop, Looe has supermarkets.

In the cottage: it's got a woodburning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.

If you're planning trips, the National Trust South West Cornwall page is good for nearby houses and coastline, and Cornwall Outdoors has walking route ideas.
