Threpney Cottage
Threpney Cottage is on Polean Farm, just outside Pelynt village. The main thing is its shape, it's a roundhouse. They named it after an old twelve-sided coin. It's small, sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating.
The farm itself is a quiet spot down some narrow lanes. It's a proper farm with horses, sheep, and pygmy goats. You can go and see the animals. They do animal feeding on weekday mornings, if you want to join in.
The cottage is one of several here. You've got your own bit of garden. The views are over fields. It’s peaceful.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. The stairs up to the bedroom are a proper cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep and winding. That's just how it is. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
You're about three miles from the coast. The beach at Talland Bay is closest. Looe is a short drive, maybe ten minutes. Polperro is about the same. For a bigger day out, Fowey is lovely, about a twenty minute drive.
There's a pub and a shop about a mile away in Pelynt. The pub does food.
As part of staying here, you get free use of an indoor heated swimming pool at a nearby holiday park. It's just a few minutes down the road. They also have nightly entertainment there in season, which is included. Be aware the pool can get very busy and isn't available in August, and the entertainment doesn't run from November to March.
