The Mealhouse
The Mealhouse is here on Polean Farm, just outside Pelynt. It's detached and sits a bit apart from the other cottages, so you get a clear view over the fields.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a conversion from an old farm building they used to store animal feed, which is where the name comes from. The pig sty is still across the way.
It's a quiet spot down some green lanes. The beach is about three miles away. There's a shop and a pub in the village, about a mile's walk. They do food.
The farm is still working. They have animal feeding on weekday mornings if you want to get involved. There are also horses on site. You can use the indoor heated swimming pool at a local holiday park, a few minutes' drive away, though it gets busy and sometimes there's a charge. There's evening entertainment there too, but that's seasonal.
Looe is about four miles one way, Polperro about three the other. Both are proper fishing harbours with shops and places to eat. The South West Coast Path runs through both if you're walking. For a bigger trip, the National Trust has lots of places like Lanhydrock or the coast around here.
What's here: it's all on one level, there's parking, a washing machine, an enclosed garden, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
