Seagull Cottage
Seagull Cottage is in Looe town centre. It’s in a quiet cul-de-sac, so it’s off the main road. The cottage was built in the 1890s and used to be for fishermen. It sleeps four.
There are two bedrooms upstairs. One has adult-sized bunk beds, the other has a queen-size bed. Both have TVs. The bathroom has a corner shower. Downstairs is open-plan, with the kitchen, dining and living area all in one room. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and clean.
You can walk to East Looe beach in a few minutes. It’s sandy and good for families. The town has shops, cafes, and restaurants near the harbour. Hannafore Beach is on the other side of the river, good for rockpools. You can walk there.
The cottage is old, so the stairs are a bit steep and narrow. Something to be aware of. You can bring up to two dogs.
Looe has a train line that goes to Liskeard. It’s a nice scenic ride. Polperro is about a 15-minute drive along the coast. Talland Bay is nearby too. For a longer day out, you can get to the Eden Project in about 30 minutes. The National Trust has several properties within half an hour, like Lanhydrock.
Facilities at the cottage: all bedding and towels are included. There’s a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Parking is on-street in the cul-de-sac.
