The Hayloft
The Hayloft is in Trewidland, near Liskeard. It's a first-floor conversion, above what used to be a stable.
It sleeps four, but it's one bedroom with a king-size bed and then a sofa bed in the living area. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but not luxurious.
The ceilings are high with old beams. The main wall is original stone. The space is open plan, so the kitchen, living and dining area are all together.
There's a seating area outside the door. You also have access to a shared garden and the wider land here, about nine acres. You'll see buzzards and hear owls. There's a lake. I've seen an otter there once.
You're about a mile from St Keyne station, which is on the Looe Valley line. It's a single carriage train that goes through the valley to Looe. Looe has the harbour, shops, and places to eat. It's about a 15 minute drive if you don't take the train.
Polperro is along the coast from Looe. Seaton and Downderry beaches are a short drive south.
Inland, you have Bodmin Moor about 25 minutes north. The Minions area and the old engine houses are up there. Liskeard is the nearest proper town for supermarkets. Carnglaze Caverns are nearby.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
