Shire Cottage

Shire Cottage is in Trewidland, Cornwall. It's part of a small group of cottages called Olde Pensipple.

It sleeps four people. There's one bedroom with a double bed. The lounge has a daybed that turns into two single beds. One bathroom with a shower. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean without being fancy.

The living space is open plan. There are some old beams and a stone wall. There's a large iron fireplace, which is a bit of a feature. It's a solid, traditional sort of cottage.

You get a private outside seating area. There's also a big shared patio and over nine acres of land to walk around. It's quiet. You'll see birds. Sometimes you might spot deer.

It's a rural spot. You'll need a car. The nearest railway is St Keyne Wishing Well Halt, about a mile away. It's on the Looe Valley Line which goes down to Looe. Looe is a proper fishing town with a harbour, shops, and pubs. It's about a 15 minute drive or you can get the train.

From here, you're well placed for both the coast and the moors. Polperro is about 20 minutes by car. Liskeard, for supermarkets and things, is about 10 minutes away. The National Trust has a lot of coastal properties nearby, like Lanhydrock, which is roughly half an hour. The Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty site has good information for walks.
