Roosters Rest is a barn we converted on our smallholding in Deviock. It sleeps two. There's one king-size bed upstairs, but you get two bathrooms which is handy.
The barn is over three floors, so there are a fair few stairs. They're not the steepest cottage stairs you'll see, but they're there. The top floor bedroom has air conditioning, which is useful in summer. The main living area is on the middle floor with doors out to a little balcony. The kitchen's on the ground floor.
You're looking out over our three acres. We've got a veg patch, some fields, and a pond with ducks. Because of the ducks and our other animals, any dog you bring needs to be on a lead when outside the cottage garden. We can take one dog.
The beach is about a mile away, down the lane. It's dog friendly all year. The village of Downderry is close, it's got a pub and a shop. Looe is a 15 minute drive if you need more shops or want to see the fishing harbour.
For walking, you've got the coast path. The Rame Peninsula is worth a drive for a different stretch of it. There's also the Seaton Valley Country Park nearby if you fancy a riverside walk instead.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
