Charlie Wilcox Cottage
Charlie Wilcox Cottage is on the harbour in Polperro. It's right on the water, next to the jetty. The view is straight out over the boats.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and has everything you need, but it's not a show home. It's an old fisherman's cottage.
The living room is upstairs. There's a woodburning stove and the windows look right onto the harbour. The stairs inside are quite steep and narrow, which is normal for a place like this.
Two bedrooms are on the same floor as the living room. One's a double with a fireplace, the other is a single. The main bathroom is there too. Downstairs there's another double bedroom with its own small shower room. The shower is tucked behind some cupboard doors. The kitchen is on that lower floor as well. It has an Everhot cooker.
Outside, there's a small patio area by the water. You can sit there with a drink.
You can park one car at the property. That's useful in Polperro as the village lanes are narrow.
The village shop, a couple of pubs, and the fish and chip shop are a few minutes' walk away. The Heritage Museum is interesting if you want to know about the smuggling history. For a bigger shop, Looe is about ten minutes by car. The coastal path runs right past the village.
We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
