The Rabbit Warren
The Rabbit Warren is in Scaling, North Yorkshire. It's on Clay Hall Farm, which is a small site with a few other cottages. You get your own garden space, and there's a big communal lawn out the front. Beyond that, there are about seven acres of woodland and meadows you can walk through. It's good for dogs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms: one king, one double. One shower room upstairs. The stairs are a bit steep. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was renovated for summer 2024, so everything's new and clean.
The kitchen is open plan with a dining area. There's a separate lounge with two sofas and a TV. It's all straightforward.
You can have up to three dogs. We ask that they don't go upstairs or in the bedrooms.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
The coast is about six miles away. Staithes is close, then Whitby and Runswick Bay a bit further. The Cleveland Way path runs along there. Scaling Dam reservoir is five minutes drive. You can windsurf or paddleboard there, and there's a big pub.
The North York Moors are right on the doorstep for walking. You can get on the heritage steam train from places like Grosmont to go across the moors to Whitby. It's a good day out.
