Percy's Cottage
Percy's Cottage is in the middle of Castleton village. It's a small stone cottage, right on the street. We've just finished doing it up.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both beds can be set up as twins or super kings, you just need to let me know before you arrive. There's one bathroom, downstairs. The kitchen is new and has everything you'd need.
The living room has a wood burner. It heats the place up nicely. The stairs to the second bedroom are steep and a bit narrow. That bedroom is up in the eaves with sloping ceilings, so mind your head. There's a small enclosed garden out the back with a table and chairs.
Castleton has two pubs, both do food. There's a village shop and a small supermarket. The train station is a short walk away. You can get the train to Whitby in about half an hour, which is easier than parking there in summer.
You're on the edge of the moors here. You can walk straight out from the door. For a longer route, the Cleveland Way passes nearby. By car, the coast at places like Staithes or Robin Hood's Bay is about a twenty minute drive.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's well equipped. That includes WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
