Barn Owl Hut
Barn Owl Hut is on Hollins Farm near Westerdale. It's a shepherd's hut, so it's one room with a bed, kitchen area and bathroom, all in a small, single-storey space. It sleeps two.
It's on our farm in the North York Moors. The hut's at the end of a track, so it's quiet. You'll see sheep and hear birds. It’s very dark at night here, so the stars can be good on a clear evening.
You get a king-size bed, two chairs, and a wood burning stove. The kitchenette has a two-ring hob, a microwave, and a fridge. There's a shower in the hut. You can also use the bigger shower in our converted barn if you want more space.
Outside, there's a patio with a table, chairs, a barbecue and a fire pit.
The Coast to Coast footpath crosses the farm land. If you want to walk from there, you can. The moors are right here for walking. The coast is about half an hour's drive away. Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Staithes, and Runswick Bay are all in that direction.
For facilities: the hut has WiFi, towels and bedding are provided, and there's parking next to it. There's no space for pets. You can store bicycles.
