Hayloft is in Easington, which is a small village near the coast in North Yorkshire. It's a converted barn so the walls are made of that local golden sandstone. It's got three floors.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms. The main bedroom is up in the eaves on the second floor, so you've got the beams. It has its own toilet. The other double and a single are on the first floor. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The living area is open plan on the ground floor: kitchen, table, sofas. It has everything you'd expect like a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. The TV is there. There's a stairgate if you need it.
Outside, there's an enclosed lawn at the back with a picnic table. You get two parking spaces.
You can bring two dogs. The pub is right across the road. They do food and dogs are welcome. There's a farm shop and a cafe in the village.
For the beach, you drive to places like Skinningrove or Saltburn, which is about a 15 minute drive. Saltburn has the surf. The walking is good. Footpaths from the village link straight onto the Cleveland Way. You can walk the cliffs to places like Staithes.
Whitby is about a 20 minute drive. That's where you find the Abbey, the marina, and the heritage railway. For a wider view of the area, the North York Moors National Park site is useful.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Just mind your head on the second floor, the ceiling slopes.
