Butcher's Hook Cottage is in Loftus. It's right on the edge of the North York Moors. The coast is about a mile and a half away.
It's a terraced cottage, done up recently. Sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. The main bedroom is on the top floor. The bed can be made up as a super king or twins. That's handy. The stairs are a bit steep and twisty, so watch your head.
You've got a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen is new with a dishwasher. There's a small patio out the back. Parking is right outside the door, which is useful in a town like this.
Loftus itself is a small town. There's a cake shop a few doors down. Fresh stuff every day. A couple of pubs and a Co-op for groceries are a short walk away.
For the coast, Skinningrove is a few minutes north. It's a quiet beach. Saltburn is about ten minutes drive. It's got a pier and surf shops. Staithes and Runswick Bay are maybe fifteen minutes south. They're pretty, old fishing villages. Whitby is about half an hour. You know Whitby.
For walks, you're on the doorstep of the North York Moors National Park. The Cleveland Way runs along the coast here too. If you want a steam train, the North York Moors Railway is about twenty minutes inland at Grosmont.
Facilities are all there. Wifi, bedding and towels included. There's a cot if you need it. You can bring up to two dogs.
