Ballyholme

This is Ballyholme. A detached house in a small village called Boosbeck, in North Yorkshire.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One king-size and one twin bedroom are on the ground floor. The third bedroom is upstairs, in the loft. That one’s got low ceilings and you get to it via steep, paddle stairs. So watch your head. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well looked after.

The garden is a big feature. It wraps around the front and back, it’s got plenty of space and it’s good for wildlife. There’s an electric vehicle charger on the drive.

Inside, there’s a living room, a separate dining room, and a modern kitchen with a dishwasher. There's also a snug upstairs in the loft, next to that third bedroom. It’s a quiet spot if someone wants to get away for a bit. All bedding and towels are included.

The village is quiet. There’s a fish and chip shop. For a bigger shop or more places to eat, you’d drive to Guisborough, which is about three miles away.

The coast is close. Saltburn-by-the-Sea is under five miles. It’s got a pier, a sandy beach, and it’s popular with surfers. The Cleveland Way coastal path runs from there. You can walk along the cliffs to places like Staithes and Whitby. Whitby is about 20 miles down the coast. Famous for the abbey and the harbour.

Inland, you’ve got the North York Moors National Park. It starts a few miles south of here. Great for walking and cycling. The landscape is all heather moorland and forest.

You can bring one well-behaved dog. There’s on-site parking and bike storage.
