Hidden Winds Cottage is in the centre of Guisborough. It's an old terrace house built in the 1850s, right on the pavement. The front door opens straight into the living room.
It's been completely redone inside. They kept things like the fireplace in the main bedroom, but it's all new plaster and wiring. It's comfortable. The rating means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs. One has a double bed, the other has a solid bunk bed that's fine for adults. One shower room, which is on the ground floor. The stairs are steep, as you'd expect.
Outside, there's a small enclosed patio at the back. It's private. They've installed an outdoor shower, mainly for washing dogs off. It's handy for wetsuits or sandy kids too.
Guisborough has shops, pubs, and places to eat all within a few minutes' walk. The North York Moors National Park starts just at the edge of town. The coast is about a fifteen minute drive.
For walking, Roseberry Topping is the local landmark hill. The Cleveland Way trail runs along the coast nearby, so you can walk to places like Saltburn or Staithes. Whitby is about half an hour away by car.
The facilities are all there: parking for one car on the street outside, WiFi, a washing machine, and a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
